In Digital Lifeskills we have been working on our Transition Portfolio websites. When students leave SKILLs we want to take all the amazing resources created here with them. Students worked with teachers to build their own websites using Gsites, they built pages, subpages, added captions and images! The websites look great and will be completed when students complete their final transition work.
Across SKILLs students have been working to utilize technology and learn new skills. Morning Meeting uses a new smart Apple TV to enhance their daily planning and learning, students are accessing iPads and laptops in their classrooms, and taking new tech resources out into the community to help with navigation and safety. This semester we also took to trips to VR world and the Google pop up store. Students got to access, learn about and experience new technology throughout the City!
'Tis the Season!
As the holiday season is upon us, many students chose to participate in our annual SKILLs Holiday Gift Exchange. Students had the opportunity to shop for a gift for their "secret person," as well as a family member or friend. All of the students who participated did a great job finding gifts and staying within their budgets! They were also able to go out to lunch with their classmates and friends after a busy day of shopping. The gift exchange will take place next Friday during the SKILLs holiday party. Happy Holidays to all!
