Semester 1 in Studio Arts
This semester in Studio Arts students in Jamaica, Sheepshead, and Flushing Bay practiced basic handbuilding with clay. Students created magnets, phoneholders, wallhangings, decorative pinch pots, and more. Students enjoyed working with this medium and getting their hands dirty.
Pelham, Rockaway, and Caesar's Bay focused on Community Art and Street Art . They traveled through the city on art scavenger hunts, visited museums, and created artwork based the documentary Waste Land and other street artists.

Dinner Club at The Rebecca School
When: Wednesdays from 5-7:30pm (Spring session runs April 3- June 12th) Where: Rebecca School, 40 East 30th Street Each Wednesday, members of the LIT Transitions Dinner Club will work collaboratively to plan and prepare dinner. Participants will build skills around menu planning, nutrition, grocery shopping and meal preparation. This is a great social opportunity for participants to meet new people, work as a team and socialize over a meal. The program runs for 10 weeks and costs $750 (payment plans are available).
