SKILLs Students "Give Back" with Coat Drive
Students at SKILLs know how important it is to be warm while out in the community. By donating old jackets/coats our students are helping people in need stay warm too. This is a great way for SKILLs to give back to their community and make a difference for many New Yorkers who go without a coat in the winter months. Starting December 3rd to December 17th SKILLs students will be collecting donations during their respective 1st period class, which will be given to New York Cares. Students have already starting creating flyers to get the word out about this opportunity to help out those in need.

Bus Survey for Families
New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI) and the ARISE Coalition are surveying New York City students and parents/guardians about their experiences during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years with the busing system of the New York City Department of Education (DOE) to further our advocacy for a better transportation system for students with disabilities. This is part of our investigation of school buses in New York City, and we plan to make our findings available to the public. Your name, contact information, and any identifying responses, however, will be kept strictly confidential.
