Talent show filming is next week! Please remember to dress up in your performance outfit. (Refer to the email from Andrea with your cohort's specific information!) Socializing in the Sun This year, the team saw a need and desire to create more opportunities for socialization. As March arrived, students and staff have been taking advantage of the warmer weather days and getting outside together more often. Small groups of students from two cohorts at a time are gathering at the local ball field to spend time together. Counselors, speech therapists, and additional staff support conversations amongst students to make connections and discover similar interests. The happy smiles in the photos below say it all. We look forward to continued opportunities as students get to know one another and socialize in the sun! A special shout out to all participants during conferences this past week. We encourage students to self-reflect and advocate as much as possible, which is no easy task, but certainly an important one as they transition to young adulthood and beyond. We look forward to continuing the conversations we're having with you throughout the remainder of the school year. St. John's University Partnership Continues! The Bryant cohort returned to the St. John's campus this past week, where they dived right into a unit on Financial Literacy, learning about budgeting skills using Consumer.gov, NerdWallet, and Digital Compass. They also completed Work-Interes and Work-Values surveys on their way to learning the Occupational Outlook Handbook from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Alumni Association Alumni Association activities are available to Transitions students and alumni in the form of after-school workshops and events.
